Description
Bureau of Land Management- Grand Junction, Colorado seeks the replacement with same or compatible engine on Fire Truck VIN: 1HTWEAAR8FH508020 International Model: 7400 SFA 4X4 Engine: MAXXFORCE DT 466 300HP/2400. WORK MUST BE DONE BY A CERTIFIED INTERNATIONAL (NAVISTAR) FACILITY. Vendor must provide proof of such in their solicitation package. Services shall include a minimum 24-month unlimited mileage warranty on the Engine and a minimum 12-month warranty on componentry including (but not limited to) Fuel pump, fuel injectors, turbocharger, high pressure fuel pump, sensors, electrical harnesses, glow plugs and block heater. Basic Contracting Requirements: 1. Active Registration - www.sam.gov at the time of offers due and throughout the contract 2. Invoicing and Payment - www.ipp.gov - 30-day prompt pay 3. FAR Part 12 - Commercial Items 4. FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures 5. FAR Part 15 - Contracting by Negotiation 6. Service Contract Act Wages 7. Type of Contract - Firm Fixed Price 8. Basis of Award - Award will be based on price alone. See Evaluation of Commercial Items Clause 52.212-2 9. The Company Name, Address, Phone Number, and Contact Person where the repairs will be performed. 10. If the proposed repair facility is greater than 50 miles outside Grand Junction, the vendor is responsible for transporting the vehicle to and from the vendor's facility. 11. If transportation is required, within 5 business days of award, the contractor shall obtain and provide proof of a minimum of $1,000,000 dollars shipping insurance for the retrieval and return of the truck to 2815 H Road, Grand Junction, CO 81506, and shall include the following statement within their bid package: ""Any and all damages incurred from shipping, up to and including total loss will be repaired at the expense of the contractor following scheduling requirements of the Government. In the event of a total loss, the contractor shall be responsible for working with the Department of Interior (DOI), National Fire Equipment Program (NFEP) to specify, order, pay, and deliver to Grand Junction CO a New (unused), BLM Type Four Fire Engine meeting the DOI's current specification requirements"". 13. Work shall be done by a Interternational (Navistar) certified facility. The BLM intends to establish a competitive range and hold discussions after receipt and review of proposals. Work can begin after award and once a Notice to Proceed (NTP) is issued. For situations where transportation is required, the NTP will not be issued until proof of insurance is provided to the BLM.
