- The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought is to gather information about potential solutions to achieve the following supplies/services: The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) engages in surveys and statistical analyses, engineering and industrial hygiene assessments, evaluations of current and potential alternative work place technologies, evaluation of programs and regulations, reviews of occupational hazard data, and the development of analytical tools for purposes of identifying occupational risk and their causes, prioritizing regulatory and non-regulatory activities, and producing effective approaches and solutions for improving occupational safety and health.� OSHA also relies on research, studies, and analyses of proposed and final regulations and standards; of revisions to regulations and standards; and of regulatory and non-regulatory alternatives addressing occupational safety and health issues.� Requirements and guidelines for conducting analyses are contained in public laws, executive orders, court decisions, and other applicable documents, which include, but are not limited to, the following:� Executive Order 12866; The Regulatory Flexibility Act, the Paperwork Reduction Act, and the Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act.�Technical subject matter expert (SME) support experienced with OSHA is needed to support the Directorate of Standards and Guidance and provide expertise on a wide range of matters pertaining to standards and guidance regulations, development, and implementation. Overarching tasks shall consist of conducting economic analyses and literature search and information management. If your company can provide the services outlined above, please respond to this RFI by: answering all questions identified in the ""Industry Feedback"" section of the attached RFI Information and Feedback Form; providing a Capabilities Statement; and providing estimated pricing for market research purposes. Submissions shall reference RFI No. ""ACQ-24-0137 - RFI for OSHA Technical and Analysis Support"" in the subject line. This Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought�is being used as a market research tool to identify companies interested in being considered to fulfill future anticipated needs, with the capabilities appropriate to meet the specified need. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does�NOT�constitute a Request for Quote/Proposal (RFQ/RFP) or a promise to issue one in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply/service. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this request. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of the information being requested or reimburse expenses incurred for responses to this RFI. The information provided may be used by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) in developing its procurement strategy and establishing and/or further defining a Performance Work Statement (PWS). Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary, restricted, or competition sensitive information contained in their response. Failure to respond to this RFI does not preclude participants in any future RFQ/RFP, if any is issued. The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government.
