- This SOURCES SOUGHT notice is for informational and planning purposes only and is not a solicitation. It does not constitute a Solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research, and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. The intent of this notice is to determine the availability of Propane Thermoelectric Generators or any domestically manufactured alternatives per below salient characteristics. Alternatives Shall meet the below requirements. Power rating at 68 degrees F; 50 watts at 14 volts, Electrical output 12 to 18 volts, 12 VDC: Output: terminal block which accepts up to 8 AWG wire. Opening for 3/4 inch conduit in base of cabinet. Fuel requirements: propane, max 1.9 gallons per day; max supply pressure: 50 psi; minimum supply pressure 15 psi. Ambient operating temperature: max 130 degrees F; min -40 degrees F. Construction: Cabinet 304 Stainless Steel; cooling, natural convection, fuel system: brass, aluminum and stainless steel. Operating conditions: Unsheltered operation. The NAICS code is 335312, Motor and Generator Manufacturing, Product Service Code 6115, Generator and Generator Sets with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,250 employees. Potential offerors having the capabilities necessary to meet the needs of this requirement are invited to provide a capabilities statement. The capability statement shall include the following: 1. Company name and point of contact information 2. Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) 3. Small Business Size/Certification (to include 8(a), HUBZone, EDWOSB, etc) 4. Product specification literature, including manufacturer of thermoelectric generator, Model/Part No., and location of manufacturer and assembly. Responses are due no later than 5:00 PM ET, Thursday, April 11, 2024 and shall be submitted to Don Richer via email at dricher@usbr.gov. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought notice or any follow-up information requests.
