- The Medical Readiness Contracting Office � Pacific, Joint Base Lewis McChord Health Contracting Branch is issuing this sources sought notice for informational purposes only. This notice is a means of conducting market research to identify industry�s capabilities in providing non-personal services for Epidermal Nerve Fiber Density Analysis and Sweat Gland Analysis. For additional information regarding the technical specifications, please refer to the attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement. This sources sought notice is not a solicitation for quotations, proposals nor invitation for bids. Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary and will not be compensated. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged. The Government will not evaluate the information received nor provide comments or feedback. Your response to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities and qualifications statement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation nor award a contract under this announcement. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Government-Wide Point of Entry (GPE).� It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the GPE for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Project Background The Contractor shall plan, program, administer, manage, and execute the work necessary to provide the required services. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, management, transportation, labor, supplies, and equipment necessary to provide Nerve Fiber Testing to support Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC), Tacoma, WA. The laboratory testing services to be provided shall include Epidermal Nerve Fiber Density Analysis and Sweat Gland Analysis. All testing will be performed at the contractor�s laboratory. Required Capabilities In order to provide both required testing services, The Contractor�s laboratory shall be currently accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and maintain accreditation for the duration of the contract. The laboratory shall also certify that it is in full compliance with the requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988 (CLIA 88) as they exist at date of solicitation. The Laboratory Director shall be a fully licensed MD or PhD who is an active, full-time Director. The Contractor shall have a full-time staff of in-house professional scientists and consultants at the MD and PhD levels, including a geneticist. Medical doctors should have specialty or subspecialty boards in areas of expertise. If your organization has the potential capacity and capabilities to perform these contract requirements, please provide the following information: Organization Name, CAGE code, Unique Entity ID number and Information for required capabilitys (Accredidation, Staff Information/Lab Director,� and CLIA 88 Compliance). Any applicable brochures or company capability material may also be submitted.� Eligibility The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 621511 Medical Laboratories with a small business size standard of $41.5 Million.
