** 19MAR2024 - added site visit attendance sheet This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is issued pursuant to FAR 14 by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service (FS), on Behalf of the National Forests and Grasslands in Texas, Sam Houston Ranger District office, 394 FM 1375 West, New Waverly, TX 77358. Type of Contract: This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) which will result in award of a firm-fixed price contract.� Award will be made to the lowest priced responsive/responsible bidder.� Set Aside: The project is set-aside 100% for Small Business (SB).� The associated NAICS of this acquisition is 237310 Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction. �PSC Code Z2LB - REPAIR OR ALTERATION OF HIGHWAYS/ROADS/STREETS/BRIDGES/RAILWAYS Magnitude: In accordance with FAR 36.204, the�magnitude of this project is: (e) Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Scope of Work: Multiple-Use Trail- East Sam Houston National Forest Restorations. This project will involve the replacement and/or improvement of crossings on the Multi-Use Trail East at various locations on the Sam Houston National Forest in Walker County, Texas.� It includes removal and disposal of six existing bridges, installation of one 45 foot and one 30 foot FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer) bridge, installation of four low water crossings, and construction of an abutment/ retaining wall at a bridge crossing. The Contractor shall reference the Schedule of Items, Specifications and Drawings for a complete description of work items. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: 1. Removal and disposal of six existing bridges. 2. Acquire and Installation of one 45 foot and one 30 foot FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer) bridge. 3. Installation of four low water crossings. 4. Construct an abutment/retaining wall. Location: Project Name and Location: Multiple-Use Trail- East Sam Houston National Forest Restorations. The Multi-Use Trail East is located on the Sam Houston National Forest of the National Forests and Grasslands in Texas, in Walker County, Texas.
