- The United States Air Force, AFLCMC/PZIBA, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433-5344 publishes this notice of intent to award a sole source contract for informational purposes only. �This proposed action is for the procurement of 90 Alulite Swirl Tables and nine (9) Table Trucks for HQ AFMC/DSP at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of�FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) and 41 USC 3304(a)(2), as implemented by FAR 6.302-2(b) (1) an unusual and compelling urgency precludes full and open competition. This proposed procurement will be a Sole Source under North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 337214 - Office Furniture (except Wood) Manufacturing.� Business size standard for NAICS 238220 is 1,100 employees. PSC/FSC code: 7110. The proposed source is Southern Aluminum Manufacturing Acquisition, Inc., located at 5 Highway 82 W, Magnolia, AR, 71753. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract regardless of responses that may be received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, quotation, or exception to the intent to purchase on a sole source basis, which shall be considered by the Government if received by 3:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time, 26 March 2024. In order to comply with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) the reason for lack of competition is as follows: This procurement will be awarded on a sole source basis Southern Aluminum. Market research was conducted to identify all agencies capable of providing the required tables. ��provide and install the furniture in the requirement.� Ordering through a vendor poses a risk for delays.� Even a small delay can lead to the product not being delivered by the need date.� Without these products, the first conference, June 2024, would need to be moved to an alternate location.� �This acquisition will not be a small business set aside since the manufacturer is a large business. The Department of Defense (DOD) has determined the System for Award Management (SAM) to be the single DOD registration for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conducting business with the DOD.� Contractors must be registered in SAM prior to award for solicitations issued after 29 May 2012.� You may contact SAM by telephone at 866-606-8220 or online at https://www.sam.gov.
