- Description
- The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements specified in this document. The National Stock Numbers (NSNs) will be listed in the attached Master Spreadsheet in the Solicitation phase. Services shall include teardown, analysis, repair, testing, and procurement of spare components, packing, handling, storage, transportation, data collection, engineering support, and services. Our acquisition strategy is a ten-year contract and will continue through FY34. This requirement is for repair and procurement sources. The best estimated quantities (BEQs) for each service will be identified in highlighted on the Master Spreadsheet. These systems and/or subsystems are currently installed on multiple platforms. The proposed follow-on BAE Corporate Contract will be a 10-year effort consisting of a 5 year basic plus 5 year option, consists of estimates of repairs, limited Air Force managed spares, and engineering services, and allows for future growth with potential add-on NSNs. The anticipated contract award date is March 2025. The proposed follow-on effort will cover 92 NSNs. Initially, BAE requirements were fulfilled under the DLA Captain of Industry (COI) contract SPE4AX-15-D-9414, which expires 22 Mar 2025. DLA has elected not to proceed with a follow on for SPE4AX-15-D-9414. In-depth review of CRSAWs for the Subject NSNs identifies all NSNs are sole source for repair. RMC/RMSC Codes selected by each NSNs cognizant engineer reflect the proper sole source coding. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique engineering skills, and repair knowledge by the qualified source(s) require repair of the part by the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain repair knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify IAW the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. If one source is approved, RMCs 3, 4, or 5 are valid. If at least two sources are approved or if data is adequate for an alternate source to qualify IAW the design control activity's procedures, RMCs 1 or 2 are valid. ---------------------------------------------THIS NOTICE WILL END IN A SOLE SOURCE AWARD ------------------------------------------------------
