- Sources Sought Synopsis (Request for Interested Manufacturers) FROM:� Marcus Ashley, 408th SCMS/ GUEA TO:� �� DLA Aviation Procurement Operations at Warner Robins (SPRWA1) LOCATION:� Robins AFB, GA 31098-1813 FBO Post Title:� Request for Interested Manufacturers: Sector Summer Assembly (5996-01-268-8577) SUBJECT: Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the Sector Summer Assembly NSN 5996-01-268-8577, PN 439501-1. ITEM DESCRIPTION The Sector Summer Assembly serves as a critical component for processing and combining signals from different sectors or directions. This asset helps determine the source or direction of electronic signals, aiding in the identification and localization of potential threats or targets in a specific area. The assembly combines (sums) information from various antennas, contributing to the situational awareness of the ALQ-161 EW system operation. IMPEDIMENT TO COMPETITION The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for this item was Eaton Advanced Electronic (CAGE 00752), now L3Harris (CAGE 82340). L3Harris maintains the Sector Summary Assembly configuration by part number. The Government owns minor technical data for this asset. The government owned drawings include the physical characteristics of the assembly, as well as locations of the input/output ports, with no specified dimensioning. The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. As a result, L3Harris is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the Sector Summer Assemblies design and performance requirements. L3Harris owns the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment with the ALQ-161. INTEREST Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 30 March 2024 by emailing april.walls@us.af.mil and marcus.ashley@us.af.mil. The Government intends to procure these items using Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.1, Full and Open Competition.
