- Sources Sought Synopsis (Request for Interested Manufacturers) FROM:� Marcus Ashley, 408th SCMS/ GUEA TO:� �� DLA Aviation Procurement Operations at Warner Robins (SPRWA1) LOCATION:� Robins AFB, GA 31098-1813 FBO Post Title:� Request for Interested Manufacturers: RF Common Module (5895-01-174-5742) SUBJECT: Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the RF Common Module, NSN 5865-01-240-0092EW, PN 435346-1. ITEM DESCRIPTION The RF Common Module within the ALQ-161 Electronic Warfare System functions as a complex signal processing unit. This asset is capable of handling multiple RF signal inputs, splitting and switching the paired outputs into a dual RF output, and provide video detection concurrently. This module requires integrated Transistor to Transistor Logic (TTL) compatible drivers in order to integrate into the ALQ-161 EW system. � IMPEDIMENT TO COMPETITION The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for this item was EDO Corporation, now L3Harris (CAGE 82340). L3Harris maintains the RF Common Module configuration by part number. The Government owns the specification control drawing for this asset. This includes technical information that describes the physical dimensions, design, and construction of the RF module. The drawing also includes the environmental, electrical, reliability, and quality conformance requirements for manufacturing a Form Fit Function and Interface (F3I) replacement of this asset. The contractor shall meet the specified performance requirements and possess the required technical capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment with the ALQ-161.
