- Sources Sought Notice 288-Megapixel Resolution color (VP-288MX-C10) and Mono (VP-288MX2-M15K) Cameras, Brand Name or Equal Sources Sought #1117397-SS This is a Sources Sought notice Only. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only as part of USDA ARS market research and does not itself constitute an RFQ. Background: The Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Environmental Microbial and Food Safety Laboratory (EMFSL) in Beltsville, Maryland, wants to purchase a Brand Name or Equal 288-megapixel resolution color (VP-288MX-C10) and Mono (VP-288MX2-M15K) cameras to develop imaging inspection systems for detecting small contaminants on animal carcasses. A high-resolution camera is required to inspect small substances on a large object, such as an entire beef carcass. Cameras for the inspection imaging systems have a CoaXpress 2.0 interface and a 288-megapixel resolution. In addition, each camera comes with a lens, frame grabber, image data cable, and power source. Since small substances such as hair, bugs, and pieces of metal and plastic are difficult to detect using a conventional imaging camera, the inspection systems require a minimum of 288-megapixel (24000x12000) resolution. Moreover, the imaging systems require a stable connection and frame rate to avoid losing the image data in real-time use. Requirements: 288 megapixel resolution mono and color cameras must be capable of the following: 288 Megapixel resolution >= 24000 x 12000 pixels CoaXPress 2.0 Interface Frame rate >= 15 fps at 50 Gbps (Mono) Frame rate >= 10 fps at 50 Gbps (Color) Global Shutter CMOS Technology Pixel by Pixel PRNU Correction Hot Pixel Correction Defective Pixel Correction Flat Field Correction with Sequencer Control Dynamic range >= 60 dB at 12-bit Broad operation temperature range: 0~40 C Power requirement <= 36 W Interface with LabVIEW and Python programming software Provide API and SDK to programming Custom lens mount Black Level Control: 0~255 LSB at 12bit Electronic Shutter: Global Shutter Two lenses must be capable of the following: Focal length: 90mm, Magnification: 0.5x ~ 0.03x, image circle: 94mm Two frame Grabbers must be capable of the following: Four-connection CoaXPress CXP-12 frame grabber Two camera data cable must be capable of the following: Single CXP12 HD-BNC to single HD-BNC, 5m length CXP12 cable Two power source must be capable of the following: 12V 5A Vieworks camera power supply 2M The Contractor shall: This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of USDA ARS market research.
