Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice for Motorola Radio Coverage Equipment and Installation services as identified in the Statement of Work (SOW) for the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The contractor shall furnish all necessary tools, parts, labor, supplies, materials, equipment, supervision and transportation necessary to furnish the services noted below. The services required are provided and are subject to changes. A draft SOW is attached to this notice and is subject to change should a solicitation be issued as a result of this notice. Please respond if you have the ability and actual intention to complete this requirement. Include the following information in your response: DUNS NUMBER SAM UEI NUMBER Capabilities Statement Confirmation of actual intent to submit an offer should an RFQ be posted in future Company name and address Point of contact information (name, phone, email) Socioeconomic size status (example: large, small, WOSB, SDVOSB, etc.) This Sources Sought Notice is intended to locate any business capable of performance. The anticipated NAICS Code for this requirement is 238210. This is not a Request for Quotation and quotes shall not be reviewed at this time. The Government shall not be responsible for any costs incurred by the contractor because of this Sources Sought Notice. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to any particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. DRAFT STATEMENT OF WORK GENERAL Ann Arbor VA Medical Center (AAVA), located at 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48105, requires equipment and installation services (as identified in the equipment list below) on existing the Motorola radio communication system, to rectify poor coverage throughout the facility. SCOPE OF WORK Contractor shall provide all materials, parts, labor, personnel, transportation and tools to install the equipment listed below. Any items being provided by VA are identified. Contractor materials to be provided include, but are not limited to, rigging equipment, lifts, carts/dollies, personal protective equipment (PPE), personal lockout/ tagout locks and any other items required for full contract performance. TASK REQUIREMENTS Complete pre-job safety checklist. Perform Lockout/Tagout procedure. Coordinate with VA staff. Install additional repeaters to existing system as needed in basement. Install all associated equipment and material for repeaters. Perform testing of all equipment installed. Commission system once completed. Clean up the work area when complete and haul away all debris. Work to be completed in approximately 2 weeks. VA WILL PROVIDE Lockout/Tagout of effected equipment. Guidance of location of eyewash/safety showers, alarm pull stations, building exits, emergency procedures. Guidance on vehicle and equipment staging. Verify work has been completed by VA standards. CONFORMANCE STANDARDS Contractor shall conform to OSHA standards and VA rules and regulations. Proper PPE and safety training are required. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS Contractor shall follow all safety precautions as OSHA may determine to be reasonably necessary to protect the lives and health of occupants of the building. The Contracting Officer s Representative (COR) or designated alternate/additional point of contact shall notify Contractor of any safety issues and actions necessary to correct them. Such notice, when served on the Contractor or his representative at the work site shall be deemed sufficient for the corrective actions to be taken. If Contractor fails or refuses to comply promptly, the Contracting Officer may issue an order stopping all or part of the work and hold the Contractor in default. VA ONSITE REPORTING REQUIREMENTS Contractor shall be report to the Electrical Shop Supervisor in Building 28 and sign. Before or after normal work hours, Contractor shall report to the Utility Systems Repairer Operator on duty. This check in is mandatory. DAYS AND HOURS OF OPERATION Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, excluding federal holidays, or any day deemed a federal holiday by the President of the United States.
