Description
Construct all allied support required for the placement of a temporary facility to serve as a decontamination room for the Vance Paint Hangar. Allied support includes utilities such as water, sewer, electrical,communications, and a vestibule to connect the temporary facility to the hangar. The site will require taps into the existing water, stormwater, wastewater, electrical, and communications lines as well as grading and siteleveling. Utilities to connect the temporary facilities to a potable water system and a supply of water to the fire sprinklers will be included in the project. Project includes demolition and restoration of pavement whererequired for utility connections. Per UFC 3-201-01, site drainage will be considered in the development of the site. Drainage will consist of grading the site for positive drainage, storm water detention and an undergroundinlet and piping system that connects to the existing base storm water system.Construct a temporary pad for the facility, which will consist predominantly of granular fill with a small amount of concrete where a sidewalk is necessary for egress. Construct stairs, ramps, and an enclosed vestibule requiredto connect the temporary facility with the existing hangar. The total square footage of the disturbed site - including utilities, exterior facility requirements, and the facility itself shall be less than 3,000 square feet, andwill be leased in relation to this project. Sustainable principles, to include life cycle cost-effective practices, will be integrated into the design, development, and construction of the project in accordance with UFC 1-200-02.This project also includes the lease of the temporary facility. (see Attachment L1.1_Section 00_41_00 Proposal Form for guidelines)All work will be accomplished in accordance with the plans and specifications, 300 days for performance, 330 total days.
