- Description
- The Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center (DEVCOM), Munitions Engineering & Technology Center (METC), FCDD-ACM-M at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting market research to determine the ability of Engineering / Engineering Technician Support Services. The contractor shall provide engineering and engineering technician services (to include engineers, engineering technicians and associated technical specialty staff) responsible for design / implementation of facility upgrades, manufacturing process development, prototype manufacture, and design for unit cost efforts. The functions involve performing engineering analysis to enhance manufacturing, executing developmental activities including testing and evaluation, computer modeling, data reduction and analysis, design for producibility, dimensioning & tolerancing, planning engineering evaluations, assembly, writing procedures and test plans, executing engineering tests, collecting and analyzing data, monitoring manufacturing activities, and authoring or reviewing engineering change proposals. Tasks may also involve working with senior engineers on one or more research and engineering projects including preliminary prototype design and manufacturing process development, fabrication of prototype hardware, acquisition of advanced manufacturing process hardware, performing cost estimates.��� Depending on the specifics of the effort, the contractors may be required to support quality engineering, or other engineering activities required for product development / support. The contractor may be required to perform testing of various materials and/or perform metallurgical analyses in conjunction with development of failure analysis efforts. The contractor may also need to support activities such as testing, site visits, that directly support METC / MSD Engineering efforts. Testing support may be required at Picatinny Arsenal, other Government test facilities, or other contractor locations.� Contract personnel are required to be capable of possessing and holding a Secret Security Clearance. The contractor will be responsible for staffing the following labor categories: Level 1 Engineers: Bachelor of Science degree: min of 1 - 5 years experience. Level 2 Engineers: Bachelor of Science degree: min of 5 - 10 years experience. Level 3 Engineers: Bachelor of Science degree: min of 15 + years experience. Level 1 Engineering Technician: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Level 2 Engineering Technician: Minimum of� 7� years of relevant experience. Level 3 Engineering Technician: Minimum of� 15� years of relevant experience. Subject Matter Expert:� Minimum of 15 Years of Relevant Munitions Experience The official response must be submitted to: tyler.w.fulper.civ@army.mil by March 21, 2024 by 12:00 (noon) eastern standard time.
