- Description
- The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration�s (NHTSA) mission is to save lives, prevent injuries and reduce traffic-related health care and other economic costs. The agency develops,�promotes, and implements effective educational, engineering and enforcement programs with the foal�of ending vehicle crash tragedies and reducing g economic cost associated with vehicle use and�highway travel. The National Center for Statistics and Analysis, Safety Systems Management�Division. The NHTSA Human Factors & Engineering Integration Division, within NHTSA�s Vehicle Safety Research�Office, manages a portfolio of research that seeks to improve safety on U.S. roads by investigating�how drivers and other road users perform as a system component in the safe operation of vehicles.�To achieve NHTSA�s mission, the Human Factors & Engineering Integration Division requires�contractor support to carry out rigorous and innovative motor vehicle safety-related research. The purpose of this Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract is to provide NHTSA�with the capability to award Task Orders covering a broad range of research topics related to human�factors and vehicle safety. NHTSA intends to award IDIQ contracts to Offerors who submit proposals�that are scored within the competitive range (see Section L for instructions and Section M for�evaluation criteria). Offerors who are awarded an IDIQ contract will be qualified to submit�proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs) issued by NHTSA under this IDIQ. The solicitation will result in a multiple award IDIQ contract�whereby individual Cost (no fee), Cost- Sharing, and Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) and Cost Reimbursement, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time and Material (T&M) Task Orders shall be issues in accordance with FAR 16.5 to obtain professional whereby individual Cost (no fee), Cost- Sharing, and Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) and Cost Reimbursement, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time and Material (T&M) Task Orders shall be issues in accordance with FAR 16.5 to obtain professional services.
