- The Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital (Bedford VAMC), located at 200 Springs Road in Bedford, MA, has a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price contract for Project Number 518-21-118 Building 78 Roof Replacement. The project consists of replacement of approximately 24,000 square feet of roofing on Building 78 at the Bedford VAMC. The scope of work (SOW) is for contractor to completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Building 78 Roof Replacement, approximately 24,000 SF of TPO membrane roofing on Building 78, at the Bedford, MA VAMC, as required by drawings and specifications. SCOPE: The scope of the work shall include a new reception area, locker rooms, offices, conference/lounge, open and private treatment rooms with bariatric capability, a gym facility, a physical medicine and rehabilitation facility, an arts therapy facility and supporting spaces. In addition to relocating/rerouting part of an existing, very utilized main corridor. Work includes the necessary supervision, labor, equipment, material, transportation, testing, site surveying and infrastructure required to complete work, in accordance with the Contract Documents, including Technical Specifications and Drawings. Work includes, but is not limited to, general construction, alterations, necessary removal and reinstallation of existing structures and certain other items. The construction schedule is 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed and shall be performed in several phases as indicated in the Contract Documents. The VA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this announcement. This notice is not a solicitation and is intended only for market research purposes and to determine interest in the project by qualified SDVOSBs that have the experience directed at the requirements of the Statement of work. As SDVOSB set-aside, the prime is required to perform at least 15% of the work. The NAICS code is 238160, Roofing Contractor, and the small business size standard is $19 million.
