- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to post the answers to questions received during the solicitation process as well as correct CLIN 0001 of the cost and price schedule from a qty of 6 to a qty of 7. Questions and Answers: Utilizing the two 600-amp breakers is not an option for a single point connection style chillers. Are you ok with load limitations for that one chiller? Utilizing one of the available 480-volt, 600 amp feeds to power one chiller and limiting the load to maximize the available power source is acceptable. With regards to the power supply for the two 500-ton chillers, are we tying into two separate breakers (the two 600-amp breakers specified) to a single load? We have questions about being able to maintain the phasing and resistance this way and have spoken with our engineers about concerns with this meeting code. Has this been done before this way? Are the two 600-amp breakers the same distance from where the chiller would be parked? Vendors in the past have provided units that can accept the feeds from two separate sources. Essentially the loads were separated and equipped with two control panels. See response for question number 1. How long of a run will you need for the cabling? One of the trailers will require 50-75 feet of lead and the 2nd will require 150 feet leads. How long of a run will you need for hoses? Estimated need 50-100 feet for each of the four hoses depending on the location of the connections on the chillers. A site visit was provided for the contractors to determine how much hose would be needed for their specific equipment.
