- This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The purpose of the procurement is for the vendor to develop a patient derived RYR-1 myopathy model using Hesperos Human-on-a-Chip micro-physiological systems. The Skeletal Muscle (SkM) model for RYR-1 associated myopathies will be developed by utilizing NIH-NINR sourced patient myoblasts and resultant myotubes for further downstream functional evaluation utilizing a Hesperos single-organ system. Patient cells will be evaluated for muscle function compared to healthy (Hesperos Sourced - ND41865) iPSC myoblasts. Myoblasts will be plated on silicon cantilever arrays and allow to fuse into myotubes to obtain contractile force measurements to identify SkM dysfunction associated with the RYR-1 myopathy phenotype.
