Description
The Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of the Program Manager for Soldier Lethality (PM-SL) and the Combat Capabilities Development Command � Armaments Center (DEVCOM AC) is seeking potential sources to supply various GLOCK firearms, magazines, associated spare parts, holsters and tools. Systems of interest include GLOCK Model 17 (G17), GLOCK Model 19 (G19), GLOCK Model 19X (G19X), GLOCK Model 26 (G26), and GLOCK Model 43X (G43X). Systems of interest include Gen3, Gen4, and Gen5 generations for the G17, G19, G26 models as well as MOS and threaded barrel versions where indicated. Optional configurations include night sights or standard sights, metric or standard threads (for threaded barrel variants), extended slide stop lever, extended magazine catch, and optional Maritime Spring Cups. Spare parts include replacement factory GLOCK magazines, Concurrent Spare Parts (CSP) kits for above listed models, as well as � la carte Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) spare parts, inclusive of all parts with the exception of slides and frames. Holsters include OEM sport/combat for the listed models (less G43X) and duty holsters for G17 only. Tools include OEM disassembly tool, front and rear sight tools, and cleaning tools (bore brush and rod). The training includes an Armorer, Operator, and MOS course. The G17, G19, G19X, G26, and G43X are lightweight magazine fed pistols without compensated or ported barrels as produced by GLOCK. They are equipped with the �Safe Action� System, a fully automatic safety system consisting of three passive, independently operating, mechanical safeties, which sequentially disengage when the trigger is pulled and automatically reengage when the trigger is released. Barrels are equipped with polygonal rifling. The following specifications for each GLOCK System are detailed below: G17 Technical Data Caliber: 9x19mm Magazine capacity � 17 Rounds standard.� Barrel length: approx. 114mm (4.49 inches) Weight: approx. 625-630 g (1.4 pounds) G19 Technical Data Caliber: 9x19mm Magazine capacity � 15 Rounds standard.� Barrel length: approx. 102mm (4.02 inches) Weight: approx. 600-610 g (1.3 pounds) G19X Technical Data Caliber: 9x19mm Magazine Capacity � 17 Rounds Standard, 19 Rounds extended. Barrel length: approx. 102mm (4.02 inches) Weight: approx. 625g (22.05 oz) G26 Technical Data Caliber: 9x19mm Magazine capacity � 10 Rounds standard.� Barrel length: approx. 87mm (3.43 inches) Weight: approx. 550-559 g (1.2 pounds) G43X Technical Data Caliber: 9x19mm Magazine capacity � 10 Rounds standard.� Barrel length: approx. 87mm (3.41in) Weight: approx. 465g (16.40oz) Generation-Specific Characteristics Generation 3� *Finger groove and rail frame (except G26 which lacks the rail) *Non-ambidextrous magazine catch *Single recoil spring guide rod (except G26 which uses dual recoil spring) *Nominal 28N (6.3lb) trigger pull (standard) Generation 4 *Rough textured frame *Enlarged, reversible magazine catch *Dual recoil spring assembly *Modular Back Strap System *Nominal 28N (6.3lb) trigger pull (standard) Generation 5 *Flared magazine well *Glock Marksman Barrel (GMB) *Ambidextrous Slide Stop *No finger grooves *nDLC finish *Reinforced slide rails *Front slide serrations *Interchangeable back straps *Nominal 26N (5.8lb) trigger pull (standard) MOS The Modular Optic System (MOS) allows for the user to change screw-in baseplates for the addition of slide-mounted optical systems. For the purposes of this sources sought the Government is specifically seeking information on the availability of MOS variants of G19 models in Gen3, Gen4, and Gen5. Threaded Barrels A threaded barrel allows for the use of muzzle devices or sound suppressing devices and is available with either standard (�-28�) or metric (M13.5x1L) threads. Night Sights Night sights aid in low-light shooting via self-luminous illuminated iron sight aim points. Extended Slide Stop Lever and Extended Magazine Catch Provide enlarged surface for user to activate.� Maritime Spring Cups Maritime spring cups have additional channels on their external bearing surface but are otherwise interchangeable with standard firing pin spring cups. GLOCK MOS (Modular Optic System) Course is defined as a two-day, 16-hour training course that provides instruction on the operation of GLOCK pistols using the MOS system with an optic installed. Details should include technical descriptions of the firearms and included accessories (e.g., quantity and capacity of magazines included with each system) and lists of spare parts offered � la carte as well as those included in CSP kits. 2.�� �A detailed description of your ability to comply with Item Unique Identification (IUID) machine-readable information (MRI) requirements as described in MIL-STD-130, Identification Marking of U.S. Military Property and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) clause 252.211-7003. Provide any available data related to testing performed to ensure compliance with MIL-STD-130 specifically as it relates to permanency and legibility. Direct identification marking of the serialized receiver (e.g., by laser) capable of withstanding the intended life cycle should be addressed. If another method is described, that description should include an explanation of the method�s relative merits and why it is the equivalent or superior. 3.�� �Describe the time required to prepare an order of up to 5,000 units for DCMA acceptance and transportation of all the above GLOCK Systems. 4.�� �A detailed description of your capability to provide training classes as described above for class sizes up to 12 students (MOS and Operator) and up to 20 students (Armorer). Interested companies capable of meeting the requirements described above are invited to indicate their interest by providing the Government a brief summary of its company�s capabilities, including a description of its ability to meet the above-mentioned IUID MRI requirement and delivery requirements.
