- Description
- The Defense Health Agency, Central Markets Contracting Division, intends to issue a solicitation to procure Laundry Services for the 377th Medical Group (377MDG), Kirtland Air Force Base (AFB), located in Albuquerque, NM.� This requirement will be solicited as full and open competition (unrestricted) using FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. �The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition 812320, Drycleaning and Laundry Services (except Coin Operated), with a small business size standard of $8.0M. �The Product/Service Code (PSC) is S209 Housekeeping � Laundry/Drycleaning Services.� The requirement includes pick-up and delivery of all laundry at Kirtland AFB.� The pickup and delivery location for all laundry is 1501 San Pedro Dr. SE, Building 47, 377MDG Loading Dock, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87108 (access to the AFB is not required to perform this service).� The contractor shall pickup soiled laundry every Tuesday and Thursday between 1130 and 1530 and deliver clean laundry within seven calendar days after pickup.� When a pickup or delivery day falls on a federal holiday or planned closure, the service will occur on the next business day.� Laundry shall be delivered free of all visible dirt, debris, dampness, offensive odors, mildew, and cleansing chemical residue. �The delivered laundry shall have a uniform appearance, show no signs of damage incurred during cleaning or transportation, and shall be properly finished and packaged in accordance with the PWS (to be posted with the solicitation). Similar services currently are performed by Mission Linen Supply under Air Force contract FA940118P0092. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price non-personal services contract.� The target award date is March 1, 2024, with the base period of performance of March 26, 2024 through March 25, 2025 and two 12-month option periods thereafter.� FAR clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, for up to an additional six months also will be included.� The identified dates are target dates, subject to change.� The solicitation number for this requirement is HT940724Q0002. The Government anticipates issuing the solicitation on or about February 14, 2024, with a 7-day response time. �The contracting office is not maintaining a bidders list.� Failure to respond to the electronically posted solicitation and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render the response non-compliant and result in rejection.� The solicitation, all documents related to this requirement, and all amendments will be issued in electronic form and posted to SAM.gov.
