Description
In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), this Notice of Intent is to inform all parties the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 located at 6162 South Willow Drive Suite 300, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 intends to award a sole source procurement for the following requirement to the large business manufacturer, Miltenyi Biotec, Inc., located at 1201 Clapper Road, Gaithersburg MD 20878: Item # Description/Part Number* Qty 1 MACSima(tm) Imaging System 1 2 MACSima Starter Kit 1 3 MACS iQ View Permanent License Academia 1 4 Installation Service MACSima 1 5 MACSima User 1 Training 1 6 MACSima User 2 Training 1 7 MACSima Essential Service 1 The OKC VAMC research department requires the MACSima Imaging System which enables the immunofluorescent imaging of hundreds of protein targets across a single specimen at subcellular resolution. The staining system must have the capability to analyze a wide range of samples from any tissue (human or animal), have the compatibility with a variety of tissue preparation approaches, be low maintenance and not require a full-time dedicated technician, and be able to have automated data collection and analysis in software that comes with the instrument. The MACSima system consists of a liquid handling system, an automated working stage for precise positioning of samples and reagents, and an integrated microscope up to 20x magnification. The MACSima imaging system includes MACS iQ View Software solutions. The MACSima Imaging System uses MICS (MACSima Imaging Cyclic Staining) technology to acquire microscopy data for hundreds of markers using primary fluorochrome-conjugated antibodies on a single sample without harming the sample. Based on a broad portfolio of specially developed sample carriers, the MACSima Imaging System can process all kinds of fixed samples including tissue sections and adherent cellsThe associated North America Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 513210 and the Business Size Standard is $47.0 Million. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Monday, February 12, 2024. Information received in response to this notice must clearly demonstrate the capability of meeting the Government s need as stated above. Include any relevant information (specifications, cut sheets, brochures, capability statement, etc.) confirming the ability to supply the products and/or any services outlined in this notice. Responses to this notice are to be sent to chris.hollingsworth@va.gov. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government is not responsible for any potential costs incurred from interested parties desiring to respond to this notice.
