- Region 6 Virtual Industry Day: Low Embodied Carbon (LEC) Projects Please join the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS), Heartland Region (Region 6) for a Virtual Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Industry Day as it relates to Region 6�s Low Embodied Carbon (LEC) Projects. This invitation is open to Region 6�s Small Business MATOC and Design Build MATOC contract holders and all small and large business concerns interested in learning more about GSA�s recent $2.15B appropriation for LEC materials for asphalt, concrete, glass, and steel projects in the PBS Region 6 geography.� When: Tuesday, March 12, 2024, 12:30PM-2:00PM CST (Webinar) Where: Virtual Webinar How: Google Meeting At this Virtual IRA Industry Day, you will be able to: Learn about GSA�s Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) program including: Overview of GSA�s IRA programs Low embodied carbon construction material requirements Environmental product declarations (EPDs) Embodied carbon considerations in the procurement process PBS Region 6�s projected LEC projects Next Steps/Resources Share your business�s pre-populated comments and questions on the IRA topics listed above. PBS welcomes feedback, specifically regarding GSA�s IRA LEC Material Requirements, see IRA website,�https://www.gsa.gov/real-estate/gsa-properties/inflation-reduction-act, market conditions, and industry trends.
