- Description
- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Repair of the C-5 Avionics Regulated Transformer Rectifier Unit (RTRU)275 AMP & 400 AMP The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements to provide depot-level testing and repair of the C-5 Avionics Regulated Transformer Rectifier Unit (RTRU) 275 AMP & 400 AMP. The National Stock Numbers (NSN) and Part Numbers (PN) are as follows: NOUN: REG TRANSFORMER RECTIFIER UNIT 400A NSN: 6120015249044UC P/N: 716340-1 NOUN: REG TRANSFORMER RECTIFIER UNIT 275A NSN: 6120015003393UC P/N: 716010-1 The service shall include providing obsolete parts resolution along with the necessary engineering to investigate Deficiency Reports and Material Improvement Projects (MIPs). The RTRU must meet form, fit, function, and interface requirements of the specified part numbers as referenced in T.O. 1C-5M-4-6. The Government does not own the complete data or the rights to the data needed to compete the repair of this part. The depot-level testing and repair of the RTRU 275 AMP & 400 AMP require special test equipment to determine and maintain quality for its function or system integrity. Substantiation and inspection of the precision or quality cannot be accomplished without such specialized test equipment or inspection facilities. No samples are available for potential suppliers to evaluate. The Regulated Transformer Rectifier Unit (RTRU) 275 AMP & 400 AMP on the C-5 Galaxy Avionics provide regulated +28 Volts Direct Current (VDC), 275A/400A maximum, output power that is developed from a 115 Volts Alternating Current (VAC), 400 Hertz (Hz), 3-phase input. The voltage output of the RTRU is regulated by a control loop which senses the output voltage for feedback. The feed-back signal controls a Pulse Width Modulator (PWM), which in turn provides transformer drive signals to regulate the amplitude and limit the current of the output power. Contractor shall furnish all material, support equipment, tools, test equipment, and services. The contractor is responsible for providing, maintaining, and calibrating all support equipment required at their facility or a subcontractors facility. Contractor furnished material or parts used for replacement shall equal or exceed the quality of the original material or parts. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey.
