Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (Bureau) seeks a contractor to provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) by telehealth services (TeleMAT) to Adults in Custody (AICs) in community placement nationwide while residing in Residential Reentry Centers, or on Home Confinement (HC) or Federal Location Monitoring, or reporting to a Day Reporting Center. If the standard of care or current law or regulations require information or treatment that is only obtainable in person, the contractor must provide in-person MAT services. The contractor must also have the ability to administer MAT medication. Services requested are: MAT - Intake Screening, MAT - Psychiatric Evaluation and Report, TeleMAT- Psychiatric Evaluation and Report, MAT Follow-Up and Report, and MAT - Administration of Medication. All MAT services must be provided by practitioners licensed and certified to provide MAT in the state where services will be rendered. MAT services are to be delivered predominantly by telehealth, with in-person services as needed or required, to AICs who are in community placement throughout the nation and where a need for MAT exist. This requirement will ensure MAT is provided to AICs who are in need of treatment for an opioid use disorder while in community placement in locations where a gap in MAT services may exist as well as provide accessibility to treatment services.
