Description
This effort is to procure critical radio frequency (RF), coaxial isolators with SMA connectors (RTX P/N H376049-43) for the GLOBUS X-Band Radar system. An RF isolator is a 2-port device that transmits RF power in one direction only while blocking the signal in the opposite direction. There are 16 RF isolators in the X-Band Receiver/Exciter utilized to protect critical RF components from excessive power reflection. GLOBUS is a classified Joint Program. Maintenance and operation is performed at the OCONUS site by personnel employed by the Joint partner. The RF isolators currently installed in the system have an average run time of over 96,360 hours and were installed prior to the system coming to AFLCMC/HBGH for sustainment. Per the system requirements, the isolator shall meet performance requirements for a radio frequency (RF), coaxial isolator with SMA connectors (RTX P/N H376049-43) with a frequency range of 8.0 GHz to 12.4 GHz, a minimum isolation of 20 dB, a maximum insertion loss of 0.5 dB, a VSWR of 1.25:1, an average reverse power handling maximum of 1 W, an average forward power handling maximum of 65 W, and a peak power handling maximum of 500 W. (Refer to source control drawing SDB3864263). The RF isolators are a high reliability part so the effort for this market research is to identify a source for procurement of a compatible coaxial isolator which meets the specifications for the RF isolator (H376049-43) for the GLOBUS-X Band Radar System. While there are several identified suppliers for RF isolators as a whole, the combination of the specific performance requirements (20 db isolation and 0.5 dB insertion loss) significantly limit available parts. The required minimum quantity from the supplier is an appropriate estimated number of spares for the remaining lifetime of the system. This effort is to purchase 25 custom RF isolators (P/N 21A9741, ), to replace the malfunctioning custom RF isolators in the X-band radar system. Pricing arrangement should be bid as Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and be submitted ON OR BEFORE 4 PM EST 21 February 2024. Proposal validity is 90 days. The proposal should include a statement that your certifications and representations contained within the SAM system are current and applicable. Provide any updates to your certifications and representations that might impact this order.
