Description
The Air Force Security Forces Center (AFSFC) has been tasked to assess the viability for an enterprise level purchase of rigger's belts for use by members of the AFSFC during the work day. Rigger's belts are used Air Force wide for a wide variety of duties ranging from everyday use to heavy use tactical situations. � This request is to assess the viability and impact of purchasing rigger's belts on an enterprise level to meet the needs of the Air Force. In order to be sufficiently rugged the rigger's belts must meet the following specifications: 1. Mil-spec or Cobra buckle and ""D"" ring tie-in 2. Mil-spec 1 3/4"" Nylon webbing with a minimum 7,000 pound tensile strength or higher 3. Reinforced liner to aid in minimizing wear and tear 4. Redundant stitching to add strength to the belt 5. Hook & Loop covered tail to prevent excess portions of the belt from flapping 6. Heat-sealed bitter ends on the belt 7. Tan 499 or Black colorway 8. Comes in multiple sizes to fit waist ranges from at least 24-54 inches 9. Be compliant with DFARS 252.225-7012 Preference for Certain Domestic Commodities These rigger's belts are needed in order to facilitate a wide range of duties from Air Force Personnel from everyday use as a part of the uniform, to heavy us to support multiple heavy attachments such as side arms in highly tactical situations. Estimated Quantities are at around 3200 units total on a yearly basis split between various sizes.
