- Description
- Transport Agency owned Type 6 Fire Engines or equivalent vehicles from designated pickup locations in Region 6 to designated drop locations in Region 8. The successful vendor will provide vehicle carrier transport that is of sufficient size and capability to transport vehicles that have a weight of approximately 16500 lbs. each and a length of 22'5 (270�) up to 25' (300�) based on the cab configuration and width of 8� (96�) . The successful vendor is responsible for loading, securing, and delivering the vehicles to the designated drop off locations as directed by the US Forest Service Representative. Each Type 6 Fire Engine is valued at $325,000.00 including the vehicle and associated firefighting apparatus and equipment inventory. The successful vendor(s) shall have carrier insurance to cover any damages or loss while the vehicles are in their possession. The successful vendor(s) is/are responsible to follow all USDOT rules and requirements related to safely securing the equipment and delivering the vehicles to their designated locations. The successful vendor(s) is/are responsible for providing qualified drivers, all operating supplies and all equipment necessary to accomplish the requirements identified in this statement of work.
