- SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUCEMENT - M00264-24-SSA-0066 The Regional Contracting Office � National Capital Regional (RCO-NCR), Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA is seeking information for the Marine Corps Training and Education Command (TECOM) requirement for Heat Illness Prevention Capability. CONTRACTING OFFICE ADDRESS: Marine Corps Installations � National Capital Region, Regional Contracting Office (MCINCR RCO), located on Marine Corps Base, 2010 Henderson Road, Quantico, VA. INTRODUCTION: The Marine Corps Training and Education Command (TECOM) is acquiring a device that has the capability to detect and prevent a heat illness such as heat stroke/heat strain risk. � BACKGROUND: The system will be used by TECOM�s major subordinate command�s (MSC) entry level training (ELT) instructor cadre and staff to provide a modernized capability to individually and continuously monitor personnel conducting training for signs and symptoms of heat stress, quickly identifying and effectively enabling heat injury prevention actions in real time, as well as track geographic location of the individual wearing the device. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this Sources Sought Announcement is to identify Industry capabilities capable of providing a commercial Heat Illness Prevention Capability, an on-body wearable sensor/device with enhanced functionality that detects heat stress in real time and can predict heat stroke/ heat strain risk based on skin temperature, estimated core body temperature, gait instability, and transmit that data in an aggregated form. REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION: Please refer to the attached Capabilities Statement for details. INDUSTRY FEEDBACK: This is a SOURCES SOURGHT ANNOUNCEMENT (SSA) ONLY to obtain industry�s feedback on the anticipated technical specifications, potential cost, and performance risks, as well as any other related considerations for the required item. Please provide feedback on the following: 1. Can you meet this requirement? Please include capability statement in response to this SSA. 2. Do you have Government experience providing similar services? 3. Do you sell these services on GSA or any existing Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) or Government-Wide Multiple Award Contracts (GWAC)? 4. What is your size-status (e.g. Large Business, Small Business, Woman-Owned Small Business, etc.)? 5. Is there anything else you think we should know? SUBMISSION DETAILS: Submissions shall reference RFI No. �M00264-24-SSA-0006 TECOM Heat Illness Prevention Capability� in the subject line. Interested vendors who wish to respond to this SSA should send responses via email no later than 08 February 2024, 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST) to kellie.holley@usmc.mil. Interested vendors should respond to the questions cited under the �INDUSTRY FEEBACK� section of this document along with a capabilities statement (no more than 15 pages) demonstrating the ability to perform the tasks within the Capabilities Statement. Questions and comments regarding this requirement will be accepted, reviewed and answered if the Government determines responses are warranted. Submissions must include: 1) Business name and address 2) Name of company representative and their business title 3) Type of Business 4) Cage Code 5) Recommended NAICS PROPRIETARY INFORMATION: Proprietary information and trade secrets, if any, must be clearly marked on all materials. All information received that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. All government personal reviewing SSA responses understand their responsibility for proper use and protection from unauthorized disclosure of proprietary information as described 41 USC 423.
