SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE 1. Solicitation Number: 75N95024Q00120-RFI 2. Title:� Service agreement (maintenance/repairs) for a Zeiss LSM510 Confocal Microscope (Brand Name Only) 3. Classification Code:� J066 � Maint/Repair/Rebuild Of Equipment- Instruments And Laboratory Equipment 4. NAICS Code:� 811210 - Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance 5. Size Standard: $34M 6. Description:� This is a Small Business Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. This notice is issued to help determine the availability of qualified companies technically capable of meeting the Government requirement and to determine the method of acquisition.� It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract.� Responses will not be considered as proposals or quotes.� No award will be made as a result of this notice.� The Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by the respondents to this notice.� This notice is strictly for research and information purposes only. Background:� The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the nation�s leading medical research agency and the primary Federal agency whose mission is to seek fundamental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems and the application of that knowledge to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce illness and disability, conducting, supporting and making medical discoveries that improve people�s health and save lives. The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) is a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which mission it is to catalyze the generation of innovative methods and technologies that will enhance the development, testing and implementation of diagnostics and therapeutics across a wide range of human diseases and conditions. LSM Confocal Microscope Service Maintenance for equipment S/N 1A-002360 S/N 3307000109. Maintenance need to include replacement of failed component parts as determined by the manufacturer at no additional cost to the customer. The Zeiss LSM 510 Confocal systems needs to be maintained to remain functional to the lab. At least one preventive maintenance visit needs to be done to include cleaning, inspection and alignment of the instrument to ensure optimal operating performance. The computer upgrades will allow the microscope to be compatible with the current windows system. Any and all replacement parts must be compatible with the current model of equipment. Purpose and Objectives: �The purpose of this procurement is the acquisition of Integra ASSIST Plus as part of our work within the NCATS-SCIEX CRADA to act as a liquid dispenser for aspirating reaction mixtures from a 96 well source plate and dispense them in another 96 well target plate for the OPI-MS Affinity Selection Mass Spectrometry. Project requirements: The purpose of this acquisition is to acquire service contract maintenance for Zeiss LSM Confocal Microscope, it must be brand name or equal. The microscope need to be regularly maintained in order for the microscope to perform our experiments studying retinal physiology. The laboratory seeks to understand how neural circuits receive, compute, encode and transmit information. More specifically, we�d like to learn what biophysical and morphological features equip synapses, neurons and networks to perform these tasks. We need optimally functional microscopes to examine how synapses and neurons within retinal circuits perform specific visual computations. Anticipated period of performance: ��������� Base �� ��-� One (1) year, 12-month period Option 1 - One (1) year, 12-month period Option 2 - One (1) year, 12-month period Option 3 - One (1) year, 12-month period Option 4 - One (1) year, 12-month period Capability statement /information sought. Respondents must provide clear and convincing documentation of their capability of providing the equipment specified in this notice. The respondent must also provide their UEI number, organization name, address, point of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., 8(a), HubZone, etc., pursuant to the applicable NAICS code and any other information that may be helpful in developing or finalizing the acquisition requirements. One (1) copy of the response is required and must be in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format using 11-point or 12-point font, 8-1/2� x 11� paper size, with 1� top, bottom, left and right margins, and with single or double spacing. The information submitted must be in an outline format that addresses each of the elements of the service requirement and in the capability statement /information sought paragraphs stated herein.� The response must include the respondents� technical and administrative points of contact, including names, titles, addresses, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses. All responses to this notice must be submitted electronically to the Contract Specialist. Facsimile responses are NOT accepted.
