This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualifications of all businesses relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 332994. The Department of Veteran s Affairs is seeking all qualified business manufacturer or distributors of small business manufacturers to all the following specifications: Requirement: The VA New York Harbor Healthcare System requires Duty and Training ammunition for VA Police Officers to maintain qualification standards. Per VA Handbook 0720/3, Veterans Affairs Police Officers must train with their issued firearm and long-range rifle on a semi-annual and annual basis for qualifications. Each officer is required to fire 800 rounds on the handgun firearm, and 200 rounds on the long-range rifle annually. A minimum of 1000 rounds per Police Service member is required annually. Police service also conducts remedial training which requires the use of additional training ammo and duty ammo. Furthermore, all newly appointed VA Police Officers are expected to complete a minimum of 200 rounds of pre-Basic firearm training prior to attending the VA Law Enforcement Training Center Academy.
