- Sources Sought Announcement: Solicitation: #W912BU-24-B-0014 Procurement Type: Sources Sought Title: Blue Marsh and Beltzville Dam Lead Paint Abatement Classification Code: Z1KA � Maintenance of Dams NAICS Code: 562910 � Lead Paint Abatement Response Date: 1 February 2024 Primary Point of Contact: Amanda Bellnier Description: This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This IS NOT a REQUEST for PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS, or BIDS. Responses to this request will not be returned. Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future and potential solicitation. It is the intent of the Contracting Office to use this information for market research purposes only. The survey is being conducted to determine the interest of industry within NAICS code #562910, and establish that there are adequate Large and/or Small Business (HUBZONE 8(a) or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business) contractors for providing Lead Paint Abatement at Beltzville and Blue Marsh Dams. The Government WILL NOT pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of any such information. If a formal solicitation is released, it will be via the Federal Business Opportunities (http:www.fbo.gov). The Philadelphia District Corps of Engineers intends to procure the lead paint abatement services during Fiscal Year 2024. The Government is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to identify resources available to complete the required work. � Scope of Work Blue Marsh Dam and Beltzville Dam Lead Paint Abatement This work includes the removal of all lead-based paint and the repainting of all piping, equipment and structural elements were the paint was removed.�� The work is located at the Beltzville Dam, located in Lehighton,Pennsylvania, and the Blue Marsh Dam, located on the Tulpehocken Creek in Leesport, Pennsylvania. Beltzville Dam The work to be performed at the Beltzville Dam includes: The removal of lead-based paint and repainting of existing painted surfaces of the elevator shaft framing surrounding the elevator exterior, including anchor plates, bolts and connection elements, and bents and supports.� The removal of lead-based paint and repainting of existing painted surfaces of the water supply line valve and water supply line access hatch. Blue Marsh Dam The work to be performed at the Blue Marsh Dam will include: The removal of lead-based paint and repainting of existing painted surfaces of the service bridge, including the exterior faces of the webs, top flanges, and bottom flanges of the service bridge girders and the exterior stiffener angles. The work will require removal of lead-based paint and repainting of existing painted surfaces of the service bridge, including the interior faces of the webs, top flanges, and bottom flanges, of the service bridge girders and the interior stiffener and cross frame members. The removal of lead-based paint and repainting of existing painted surfaces of the service bridge, including the fuel tank and supports, access hatches, stiffeners, bolts and connection elements, bearing pads, joint plates, and utility conduits and hangers. All work performed on site will require monitoring for hazardous materials, specifically lead.� All hazardous materials produced as a result of the work will be transported and disposed of according to all applicable USACE standards.� All interested Large Business, Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, Women-Owned Small Businesses, or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email on or before 1 February 2024 at 11:59pm EST. Responses should include: 1.) Identification of the company�s small business status. 2.) Contractor�s Unique Identifier Number and CAGE Code(s). 3.) Descriptions of Experience � Interested vendors must provide no more than (3) example projects completed in the past 5 years where the interested firm demonstrated capability of performing the required work. Example projects must be of similar size and scope. Based on the information above, for each project submitted, include: 1. Current percentage of project completion and the date it was or will be completed. 2. Scope of the project. 3. Size and dollar value of the project. Small Businesses are reminded under FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting; they must perform at least 50% of the cost of the contract with the firm�s own employees for a supply-type procurement. Include the percentage of work that will be self-performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished. NOTE: Total submittal package shall be no longer than 5 pages. Please only include a narrative of the requested information; additional information will not be reviewed.
