- Description
- 1. Furniture fabrication services required for SPO lounge and Wardroom onboard USCGC FORWARD (WMEC-911).� 2. We request pre-fabrication inspection by vendor to ensure proper measurements are taken. Desired inspection date would be on POP start date, 05MAR2024. 3. POP is 05MAR-20MAY2024, POP is subject to change based on results of inspection and based on operational schedule, as Cutter FORWARD is a military afloat unit. 4. Couches shall be of new construction, meeting standards specified in NAVSEA publication T9640-AC-DSP-010/HAB.� Construction must be of modular design to allow for installation in various ships lounges below decks.� Upholstery shall be vinyl, Dark Blue in color for all spaces.� Frames shall be constructed of aluminum with a powder coated finish in gloss or flat black.� Design shall allow for decks underneath the furniture to be accessible via removal of cushions or similar manner in order to provide access to sounding tubes, inspection covers, etc.�� Product Requirements All furnishings must comply with: MIL-STD-1623E, Fire Performance Requirements and Approved Specifications for Interior Finish Materials and Furnishings, Naval Shipboard Use MIL-PRF-32038A, Shipboard Furniture, fixtures, Fittings, and Accessories NAVSEA STANDARD ITEM 009-01 Ch 3. General Criteria; Accomplish MIL-P-177171E Plastic, Laminate, Decorative, High Pressure All seat cushions shall be 5� thick, for a longer life, all sofa bodies shall be .090 / 5052 aluminum or better, access panels shall be .125 / 5052 aluminum or better. NOTE: All furniture shall be manufactured in accordance with MIL-PRF-32038A and meet the fire performance requirements of MIL-STD-1623E. All materials used shall meet the requirements of MIL-STD-1623E. High pressure laminates shall meet the requirements of MIL-P-17171E.
