Description
This is a sources sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified potential offerors. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The Salisbury Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 1606 Brenner Ave, Salisbury, NC 28144, is seeking potential sources capable to provide system maintenance on the Genetec video management system and all associated components The NAICS code for this procurement is 238210, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors Size Standard $19 Million. Provide all services, labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, technical expertise, insurance, taxes and fees necessary to service and maintain Genetec video management systems. Contractor is responsible for servicing and supporting 485 IP cameras and all associated equipment to manufacturer specifications. Contractor shall ensure all existing Salisbury and Charlotte CBOC cameras and equipment operate as directed by the VA Physical Security Specialist in accordance with the VA Physical Security Design Manual. Contractor will provide system configuration and programming for all equipment. Contractor camera technicians are required to be Genetec certified and will have a minimum of two technicians certified at the Enterprise Level and in good standing with Genetec. All cameras will be controlled by the main head end equipment that includes the Genetec Directory Server, five archivers, and a total of fifteen (18) Genetec Work stations. The main head end equipment is installed in Police Headquarters/Bldg. 12, while the workstations are installed throughout the VA campus to include one at the Charlotte CBOC location. The Genetec VMS system and all associated equipment are to be connected to the designated VA OI&T VLANS. Contractor will furnish all necessary services, supplies, and equipment associated with the Genetec VMS as outlined by the purchase quote. Contractor will provide adequate hands on Genetec training to each Salisbury Dispatcher once per quarter or as directed by Physical Security Specialist. Genetec technicians providing customer service and support will be fully certified at the Genetec Enterprise level. Genetec technicians will have extensive knowledge with working with the Genetec system and be able to effectively trouble shoot technical issues. Genetec technicians will effectively work with Genetec customer support to mitigate all technical issues that may arise. Contractor will provide As-Built drawings throughout the duration of the of the contract for any new camera additions made to VA structures. Contractor will ensure that they comply with all local low voltage codes and certifications and are registered with the North Carolina Private Protective Services. Contractor will ensure that all technicians are certified on OSHA 10 requirements as directed by VA. Contractor is required to provide at a minimum of two (2) certified Genetec Enterprise Administrators per this maintenance agreement. The certified administrators will be responsible for programming and troubleshooting all hardware and software issues that may arise due to the failure of servers, client workstations, and all non-VA network switches associated with the Genetec video management system. The Genetec certified technicians will be responsible for assessing the exact cause of all Genetec issues by troubleshooting the system to verify/confirm if camera and equipment failures/issues have been created by the following.
