Description
This solicitation is being extended due to extreme weather and delayed mail service. The new bid opening date and time is 24 January, 2024 at 1:00pm. There is no amendment required to be signed and submitted in acknowledgement of this extension. The USACE Marine Design Center of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is initiating this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the procurement of two (2) triple screw towboats for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District in support of its various missions. Principal Characteristics for each vessel: ABS Class Dimensions: Length Overall (Molded) �................................................90�-0� Beam (Molded) �...............................................................41�-0� Draft (Full Load)�..............................................................7�-9� Fixed Air Draft @ Design WL............................................44�-6 �� Steel hull Three main propulsion engines, 800 HP each - 2400 HP total, conventional propulsion Electrical system powered by two generator sets Berthing for 10-person crew � Two single staterooms with private heads, four double staterooms with shared heads. Bid bond and payment and performance bond are required. There are Liquidated Damages associated with this procurement. See the attachments for full solicitation and drawings.� The official media of distribution for the IFB is the Web.� All amendments to the IFB will be posted to the Sam.Gov website.� It is the offeror�s responsibility to monitor the website in order to access the solicitation.� Offerors are responsible for printing copies of the IFB and any amendments. �NAICS code is 336611 � Ship Building and Repair. All contractors are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. Also, all Services Disabled/Veterans Owned Business or Veterans Owned Small Business must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center of Veterans Enterprise Vet Biz Registry located at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/. Bids are must be received prior to the bid opening, which is scheduled to be held on 17 January, 2023 at 1:00pm EST. See solicitation for submission instructions.
