Page 3 of 3 DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) Sources Sought 36C24624Q0003 This is a sources sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified potential offerors. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. This notice is not a Request for Quote (RFQ). Information provided in this notice is subject to change prior to release of a solicitation. Additionally, the Government reserves the right to revise the Performance Work Statement and other contract requirements, before the release of any associated solicitation. OVERVIEW The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6 is conducting market research to identify potential sources for elevator and equipment maintenance at the VA Medical Center, 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC. See attached draft Performance Work Statement and below scope of work. Forward all questions to the Contract Specialist identified below. SCOPE OF WORK The VA Medical Center, 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC provides diagnostic and therapeutic services in medicine, surgery, rehabilitation medicine, psychiatry, and skilled nursing home care. The contract shall provide all labor, tools, materials, parts, equipment and supervision necessary to fully maintain, keep functional and perform regular scheduled preventive maintenance on the below referenced equipment. This will include one monthly Inspections, assistance during Semi-Annual safety inspections, completion of 5-year load test, preventive maintenance, repairs and maintenance in a manner that ensures safe and continuous operation of all listed equipment in accordance with commercial practices and manufactures specifications and recommendations (ANSI/ASME A17) and unlimited 24-hour Emergency Callback Service at no additional charge to the government. One- Nidec MCE, Hydraulic Elevator, Bldg. # 3 (Freight Elevator) Two- US Elevators, Hydraulic Passenger, Bldg. #1, D-Wing (*P5 & P6) One- US Elevator, Hydraulic Surgical Cart Lift-SPD, D-Wing (*SPD Dumbwaiter) Three- Dover/Smart Rise, Traction Passenger, Bldg. #1, C-Wing (*Main #1, #2, #3) Elevator (*Main #3) Is considered a Critical Elevator Any out of service Condition with this elevator is considered an Emergency Callback"" Two- Southern Elevator/Smart Rise, Passenger, Bldg. #1, A-Wing (*P1 & P2) One- Phoenix, Modular, Bldg. #50 VCI, Hydraulic Elevator, Bldg. #57 SMALL BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS For market research purposes, all responses to this notice will be reviewed, regardless of small business/socioeconomic category, including those firms that are identified as large businesses.
