Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY for planning purposes to identify interested vendors for the requirement detailed below. A formal solicitation, performance work statement, and technical exhibits are not available for release at this time. In accordance with FAR 19.5, Set-Asides for Small Business, the Government will review the information requested in this announcement to determine the type of set-aside (if any) for this requirement. The US Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for Project Blue software maintenance renewal that must be renewed each year for continued licensing updates, and technical support. The subscription is for six different reports that are necessary for the National Minerals Commodity Specialists in the Mineral Commodities section of the national Minerals Information Center in Reston, Virginia. The software licenses that are required is Germanium Market Service (GER-MS10) quantity 1 each, Magnesium Market Service (MAG-MS10) quantity 1 each, Tantalum Market Service (TAN-MS10) quantity 1 each, Tin Market Service (TIN-MS10) quantity 1 each, Titanium market Service (TIT-MS10) quantity 1 each, and Tungsten Market Service (TUN-MS10) quantity 1 each. Period of Performance is 02/01/2024 - 01/31/2025. The Government anticipates award of a firm fixed price contract. The issuance of a solicitation will be determined by the results of this request for information. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 513120 and the size standard is 1,000. Interested firms who feel that they can provide the Project Blue Software and based upon the criteria specified herein, are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcement. An affirmative response must include references with contact names, email address, and phone numbers. These references are to be for contracts similar in scope as the contract under consideration. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. All responses must be submitted NLT Thursday January 11, 2024, at 1 pm MST via e-mail to: dparkin@usgs.gov. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB) and does not constitute any commitment by the Government. Responses to this sources sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this market survey. Any solicitation that may be issued will be posted on the SAM.gov website and no paper copies will be provided.
