A sole source procurement will be issued to Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) -Soliciting from a Single Source at or below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT), CO determines only one source is reasonably available. The NAICS code for this procurement is 813930 Health Professionals' Associations. The size standard is $15 Million. Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (AACME), a non-for-profit organization, will provide the National Telehealth Training and Resource Centers with National Accreditation, enabling Accreditation the Training Centers to provide continuing education for licensure for multiple disciplines. AACME accreditation provides the tools for the clinician to relicense and decreases travel and educational expenses provided by the VA for this activity. Accreditation is a process that assures the educational community and the public that an institution or a program has clearly defined and appropriate objectives and maintains conditions under which their achievement can reasonably be expected. It encourages improvement through continuous self-study and program review and fosters excellence in postsecondary education through the development of principles and guidelines for assessing educational effectiveness. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any responsible source may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements and submit quotations by the closing date/time of this notice. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
