- Description
- The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that will provide for the repair and refurbishment of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Noise Suppressors (NSs) commonly known as Hush Houses (HH). Repair is defined as the restoration or replacement of parts or components of material as necessitated by wear and tear, damage, or failure of parts, in order to return the part to serviceable conditions and to maintain the specific item of material in efficient operating condition. Refurbishment is defined as the disassembly, disposal, cleaning, inspection, repair or replacement of parts or components, reassembly, application of surface treatments/coatings, corrosion control and prevention, and test of an item or accessory in accordance with applicable Technical Orders (T.O.s), directives, or authorized manufacturer's publication to provide an operationally safe, serviceable, and reliable item which will extend the service life of parts. Unless otherwise specified, HH refers to the complete piece of support equipment, including the Fire Suppression System (FSS) and all other associated subcomponents. Combinations of repair and refurbishment shall require the contractor to conduct mechanical, electrical, and all other types of repairs that are required for RSAF HH in Kingdom to restore and maintain complete operational capability as described below. Specifically, the contractor shall manage, report, and analyze Hush House/Open Air Test Cell availability. The Contractor shall perform repairs and preventative maintenance on Hush House/Open Air Test Cells, provide all necessary repairs required in order to restore and protect full operational capability within RSAF HH, procure and field specific Hush House/Open Air Test Cell replacement equipment, and modify Hush House/Open Air Test Cell equipment excluding the aircraft mounted side. On the Aircraft installed side; the Contractor shall maintain structural integrity of the building and fire suppression systems. The RSAF has Hush House/Open Air Test Cells at four (4) different locations in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). King Abdul Aziz Air Base (KAAB), Dhahran; King Khalid Air Base (KKAB), Khamis; King Fahad Air Base (KFdAB), Taif; and King Faisal Air Base (KFAB), Tabuk. The majority of work will be accomplished in KSA; therefore, the Contractor must have extensive knowledge with the customs and courtesies of Saudi Arabia. Proper tooling and equipment shall be located at each Contractor facility to ensure effective maintenance procedures are sustained. ***Please See Attachment***
