NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE FOR FWS Division of International Conservation, VA for Project Support Services for Sea Turtle Trafficking at 42nd International Sea Turtle Symposium TO OCEANIC SOCIETY EXPEDITIONS. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Joint Administrative Operations, Acquisition & Property Operations intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of: FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source To OCEANIC SOCIETY EXPEDITIONS 30 SIR FRANCIS DRAKE BLVD ROSS, CA 94957-9601 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 813312 Environment, Conservation and Wildlife Organizations $19.50 Million. The object of this sole source award to OCEANIC SOCIETY EXPEDITIONS for Support implementation of a workshop on sea turtle trafficking at the 42nd International Sea Turtle Symposium, March 24-29, 2024 in Pattaya, Thailand (www.internationalseaturtlesociety.org). This conference is the largest international meeting of practitioners and researchers working to conserve sea turtles globally. The FWS seeks support to: 1) organize a workshop featuring participants working on sea turtle conservation in SE Asia, and 2) provide logistical support and coordination for international participants to attend, including travel. The workshop will focus on capacity-building in community engagement and behavior change in wildlife trafficking and poaching. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
