Description
The purpose of this amendment to publish the Q&As that were received by the deadline of 12:00PM EST 11/28/2023. No additional questions will be accepted at this time. Q: What truck size are these loads based on? A: The truck load was estimated to hold 16 cubic yards, about 8 pick-up trucks worth of material per truck load. Q: Is there a scheduled site visit: A: No, a site visit cannot be performed. Q: Are there photos and/or video of the buildings and equipment that require cleanout.  A: Photos/videos are not available. Q: Please advise on the path egress from each building ie. accessibility to the parking lot for loading & departure.  A: The buildings are vacant. There are exit areas available with dumpster possibilities as well as loading docks. Q: Will it be necessary to disassemble the furniture? If it is being disposed of, disassembly can result of creep of the scope of work resulting in a higher quote when account for man hours. A: Not necessary, but helpful to compact truck loads. Q: How many levels does the required furniture span? A: 2 maximum. Q: If more than one level, will there be dedicated elevators to support this job? A: There is an available elevator and a loading dock for use with buildings 57, 9A, and 6. Building 10 - there are only stairs. Q: Since furniture is being disposed of, would the use of roll off dumpsters be authorized? A: If they are vendor provided, maintained, and removed. Q: In the event of inclement weather during the allotted time frame, will work continue as scheduled or postponed? Will it extend the contract expiration date? A: Inclement weather will be taken into consideration for job completion timelines. Q: Industry norms for moving services is usually based on an hourly rate per number of personnel, or weight of the load if long distance. Would the contractor be able to bill under hours worked instead of by truck load? A: No, this is a firm-fixed price contract. Q: Can you expound on what is meant by purchasing options and units? A: The purchasing option is how can the services be performed (best offer) and what is the unit of measure and unit price of that best offer. Q: Will the past experience of the contractor / project manager be evaluated due to not having past government contracts? A: Yes Q: Are there any requirements to the disposal of the furniture? A: Report recycled materials Q: Is there risk of asbestos exposure? A: No Q: Is there any HAZMAT? A: No Q: Are the buildings multi-story buildings? A: 2 floors Q: Can dumpsters be placed on premise? A: Yes Q: Can debris be disposed at local land fields or is there a specific requirement for disposal? A: Require breakdown of recycling with poundage reported for GEMS reporting Q: Will funds/monies be available upon conception of project for purposes of payroll and to cover any recurring expense(s)?  A: No, this is a firm-fixed price contract. Q: Hours of Operation? Accessibility to (all) four (4) buildings. Can a Night-Shift Perform between the hours of 11pm - 7am?   A: No, regular business hours only. Q: Does flooring/carpeting need to be protected?  A: No Q: Approximately how much Tonnage ?  A: No more than 2 tons. Q: Does each building have electricity/power?  A: Yes
