- Sources Sought for Upcoming Renovation 9th Floor Mental Health PROJECT 693-19-106 THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY NOR REIMBURSE ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RESPONDING TO THIS REQUEST. THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS NOTICE. The following information is provided to conduct market research to determine the availability of small business vendors that can perform renovation work. The Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center (WBVAMC) has an upcoming requirement for renovation of the 9th floor Mental Health unit located in Building #1. After completion of market research analyses, the Government will determine whether to limit competition by exclusion of sources. WORK TO BE PERFORMED The scope of work shall generally consist of but is not necessarily limited to providing all construction services including all administration, supervision, project management, labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, testing, reports, and training for renovations. Specifically, the construction work will primarily consist of demolition, structural, carpentry, finishing, casework, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, fire protection system, medical gas system, plumbing, and electrical work. The Magnitude of Construction is more than $10,000,000.00 Contractors that have the ability to perform the work for this project are requested to respond with their interest by providing a brief capability statement and pricing for completed projects of similar scope. Be sure to address if performance of the work will be as a prime contractor, joint venture, VA Mentor-Protégé Program, or potential teaming partner. Respondents shall provide company name, address, and UEI (SAM) number. Provide business type and size standard based on NAICS code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. Submit responses and related information via email to the Contract Specialist, Erin Carey, at erin.carey@va.gov by December 5, 2023, 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. No hard copy submissions will be accepted. Proprietary/company confidential material shall be clearly marked on every page that contains such information.
