36C25024Q0088 0001 QUESTIONS and ANSWERS 1. Question: If you currently have DirecTV services, do you have a Dre system (multiple receivers stacked at one location) Com2000, or a com3000? Answer: The campus currently has an IP-based Com2000 system. 2. Question: How many TVs in the facility total? Answer: Approximately 230 televisions in patient and ancillary spaces. 3. Question: You mention IPTV, do you have CAT6 at all TV s or just on the get well network ? Answer: There this CAT6 to all TVs 4. Question: Coax infrastructure operational? No issues noted. Answer: The site currently has an IP-based Com2000 system. 5. Question: Is it possible to get a picture of your headend unit that provides service to your facility? Answer: No, not at this time. 6. Question: Who is the incumbent? Answer: MDM Commercial Enterprises, Inc. 7. Question: Currently all TVs are connected and receiving services? Answer: Yes, services are delivered to the endpoints by eVideon software. 8. Question: Currently a coax infrastructure supporting your TV s? (Like most VA facilities) Answer: The site currently has an IP-Based Com2000 system. 9. Question: Do you have space in the MDF Main comms room for a 4 x2 .5 rack? Answer: Yes, space can be accommodated in existing racks. 10. Question: Is there access to the roof for a non-penetrating satellite mount and antenna? Answer: Yes, our current services are provided through a DirecTV vendor. 11. Question: Is there a route from the roof to the comms room to connect to your headend? Answer: Yes, our current services are provided through a DirecTV vendor. 12. Question: You have VA informational satellite system in your facility already? Answer: Services are delivered are delivered to the endpoints by eVideon software. 13. Question: Are you using the Get Well services. Answer: Services are delivered are delivered to the endpoints by eVideon software. 14. Question: Are you willing to have DirecTV as a service provider? Answer: Yes, our current services are provided through a DirecTV vendor. 15. Question: All the TVs are fairly new (MPEG2-4) and can receive Coax installed service? Answer: The system is IP based not coax. Current television equipment will be upgraded this fiscal year to UHD/webOS6.0 compatible televisions. 16. Question: Contractor shall provide Commercial L&I Entertainment package, or equivalent content package, for all public and private areas for the medical center that consists of 100 + HD channels . Does this statement mean you have 100 TVs, or you have 100 HD channels? Answer: This requirement refers to a 100 HD Channel package 17. Question: Could you kindly provide guidance on how you would like us to submit our proposal? Whether there are specific formats, platforms, or methods you prefer? Answer: Proposal submission should be in PDF method.
