Description

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract for preventative and corrective maintenance for three (3) Scanning Electron Microscope � (SEM) systems including the accessories. Proposed Contractor: JEOL USA, Inc. 11 Dearborn Road Peabody, MA 01961-6043 UEID: LDLCLBC7GFW7 Cage: 51043 The authority used for the sole source is FAR 13.501. The intended period of performance is a base year with four (4) option years. Base year: 12/8/2023-12/7/2024 Option year 1: 12/8/2024-12/7/2025 Option year 2: 12/8/2025-12/7/2026 Option year 3: 12/8/2026-12/7/2027 Option year 4: 12/8/2027-12/7/2028 This announcement constitutes the only notification of the ATF�s intent to solicit on a sole source basis.� A formal combined synopsis/solicitation will not occur.� All solicitation communication will occur directly with the proposed contractor. This acquisition is for a commercial item or service and is conducted under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13�Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12�Acquisition of Commercial Items.� It is expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. The notice of award and the written sole source justification will be posted after award.
