- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Eisenhower, GA intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract with QIAGEN LLC 19300 Germantown Road Germantown MD 20874-1415, USA, Inc. for the following: SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The contractor shall provide warranty services for government owned Qiagen Instruments. Services include annual preventative maintenance service which covers all of the required maintenance outlined in the instrument handbook provided by the instrument manufacturer. Included are the costs for any parts which need to be replaced and the consumables needed to perform the maintenance. The service also covers any required software updates and repairs that are needed on the instrument during the covered period. Repairs include the cost of the parts and labor associated with the repair. The technical support line is also available for use by the customer in troubleshooting possible instrumentation problems. The contractor shall respond to unlimited emergency service calls within 48 hours (excluding weekends and federal holidays) to schedule proper time for onsite service. This applies to maintenance, services and emergency repair requests. The contractor shall provide detailed service reports including quality assurance and certification for each instrument operations to original equipment manufacturer specifications per repair and services request within two (2) weeks after the visit. Cage Code: 01QT0 The authority for this non-competitive award is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), Only one responsible Source.� The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR part 13 and Commercial procedures in FAR part 12.� THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government.� If no affirmative written responses are received by 8 November 2023, award will be made without further notice.� Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government.
