- U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21) Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21 Construction Industry Day 2023 (In-Person) Date and Time: November 29, 2023, 12:00 PM 2:30 PM PDT This is an invitation for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), Women Owned Veteran Small Businesses (WOVSB), and all other business concerns interested in conducting business with the Department of Veterans Affairs, to join us for Construction Industry Day 2023. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a formal solicitation or request for proposal (RFP) and is not considered a commitment by the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of Construction Industry Day or otherwise pay respondents for participation in this event. All interested firms are encouraged to attend. All interested parties will be required to respond separately to any solicitations posted as a result of the notice. Location of Construction Industry Day: Department of Veterans Affairs VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21) Network Contracting Office 21 391 Taylor Blvd, 2nd Floor, Conference Room #220 Pleasant Hill, CA 94523 GOAL: The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21) will host an unclassified Construction Industry Day to provide an overview of FY24 forecasted construction procurements. This event aims to assist industry partners (potential vendors) in comprehending the Government s needs, requirements, considerations, and to share pertinent information that may be of interest to the local construction industry and beyond. VISN 21 has budgeted approximately $228 million for its FY 24 Minor, Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM), and Non-Recurring Maintenance (NRM) Construction projects. The following highlights the top 13 planned procurements for FY24: 1. Forecast of Business Opportunities: a. Modernize Elevators Palo Alto b. Single Award Design A/E IDIQ, Retrofit Air Handling Units Palo Alto c. Site Access & Physical Security Fresno d. Renovate Operating Room Mather 2. FY 24 Minor Construction: a. Renovate Primary Care (Sacramento, CA) b. Expand Diagnostic Imaging Center (Las Vegas, NV) c. Construct Hybid Operating Suite (San Francisco, CA) d. Expand/Renovate Laboratory (Fresno, CA) 3. FY 24 NRM Construction: a. Renovate Outpatient Pharmacy (Sacramento, CA) b. Replace Flooring (Las Vegas, NV) c. Improve Bldg 100 Access from Polytrauma (Palo Alto, CA) d. Improve Patient Experience (Palo Alto, CA) e. Deficiencies in Ambulatory Care Clinic (Honolulu, Hi) The objective of this event is to foster constructive engagement between the VA and potential vendors. This in-person meeting provides an opportunity for discussions on challenges faced by all respective parties, potential resolutions, insight into stakeholders perspective, promoting effective vendor engagement practices, and provide updates on future program developments and acquisitions. The resultant knowledge gained will enable the Department of Veterans Affairs to plan the best approach acquisition strategy, learn availability and capability of the sources, and achieve construction services to fulfill its complex mission. A detailed agenda and schedule will be provided at a later date. REGISTRATION: The event will be open to the public, up to the capacity of the VISN 21 conference space that will be used for the event. Because of limited conference and parking space, the VA kindly requests that each company restrict attendance to a maximum of two (2) representatives, and strongly encourages carpooling.
