Description
SOURCES SOUGHT: The VA West Roxbury, Boston, MA requires a contractor to provide all equipment, labor, and materials to reglaze the breezeway connecting building 1 & 2 on all floors and corners of the breezeway. Work to be performed at VAMC West Roxbury, 1400 VFW Pkwy, West Roxbury, MA 02132 in accordance with the Statement of Work, Specifications, Drawings, Federal, State, and Local Codes. Contractor to provide all equipment, labor, and materials for a complete reglazing work. Work is not limited to but includes the following: Labor material & equipment to remove existing glazing, replace insulation panels, and repair/replace any damaged glass panel. Repair framework for the glass panel as needed to seal tight all corners and provide insulation to prevent water seepage. Replace all panels to solid panels -no openings in the pane except at the doors leading to roof. Repair and waterproof door opening as needed. Provide Labor, materials, and equipment necessary to disconnect/reconnection of any rooftop equipment and associated ductwork/piping to accommodate for reglazing of the breezeway. Provide labor, materials, and equipment necessary to raise curb height at the roof location and replace flashing to resolve drainage problems. Provide labor & material for reglazing and final finishes. Provide 30 year manufacturer s warrantyAdd in item - GC to provide shop elevations/drawings for approval of new roof to ensure proper drainage . Work shall be performed at VAMC West Roxbury in accordance with the Statement of Work, Specifications, Drawings, Federal, State, and Local Codes. The period of performance for the above-mentioned project will begin with a Notice to Proceed (NTP) issued at a Pre-Construction Meeting (Pre-Con) and shall not exceed 120 days after NTP. This period of performance includes 15 days for all submittals to be approved prior to beginning construction. As part of this solicitation the General Contractor (GC) shall submit an electronic PDF preliminary schedule showing the methodology for accomplishing the project within the period of performance. The purpose of this notice is to determine if there are qualified SDVOSBs or VOSBs, WOSBs, and Small Businesses that have the experience with this type of work and if such firms are interested in this procurement. The magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The NAICS code is 236220 and the small business size standard is $45 Million. Interested firms should indicate their interest to the Contract Officer, Michael Muller, no later than 4:00 p.m. EST on 11/08/2023 via email to Michael.Muller@va.gov The following information is required in response to this notice: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a proposal in response to a solicitation for this project. (2) Unique Entity Identifier (UEI). (3) Provide one example of a recent project within the last 5 years of similar size and scope showing experience with the requirements of this project description. (5) Prime shall provide proof of bonding capacity for a project of this magnitude. (6) Prime shall provide proof of insurance for a construction project of this magnitude. Interested firms shall hold an active SAM registration. Visit www.sam.gov to register in this database. SDVOSB or VOSB firms shall be verified by https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/ The Network Contracting Office 1 looks forward to interest of well-qualified new entrants to contracting with the Veterans Health Administration including the interest of SB and WOSB contractors, and especially responses from verified SDVOSB/VOSB Firms. All information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested firms. Failure to submit all information requested in addition to the below form will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested concern. If adequate interest is not received by 4:00 p.m. EST on 11/08/2023, this action will not be set-aside for SDVOSBs, VOSBs, WOSBs, or Small Business firms.
