- Description
- This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS)/Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational purposes and market research only; it does not constitute a solicitation. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expenses associated with preparing/submitting information in response to this posting. The information provided may be used by the Government in developing its acquisition strategy, statement of work/statement of objectives, and/or performance specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained within their response as instructed later in this posting. The United States (US) Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance & Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate, Special Warfare (SW) Program Office (AFLCMC/WISN) is conducting market research to identify possible sources capable of providing a mobile secure high bandwidth BLOS Internet Protocol (IP) to Internet Protocol (IP to IP) capability. This requirement would use a variety of mechanisms (Military and, Commercial Satellite Communication, Long Term Evolution (LTE 4G)/5G, Fiberoptic, secure Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, Secure Cloud, Tactical Data Link, etc.) to send and receive secure data from remote locations to Major Operating bases that are beyond line of sight. 5G capability is preferred. Personnel Recovery (PR) forces do not have organic high capacity BLOS, IP to IP, capability and are reliant on 3rd party agencies (Combat Comms) for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, etc. capabilities. This causes a lapse in real time information sharing, friendly force tracking, battlefield situational awareness (SA), receiving and transmitting information through a Common Operating Picture (COP), and the ability to connect to Personnel Recovery Coordination Centers (PRCC), Joint Personnel Recovery Center (JPRC), Personnel Recovery Mission Management (PRMM) and Government Cloud services. See Attachment for additional information.
