- Description
- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Government is not seeking proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Vendors are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested partys expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP that may be issued. SUBJECT: The Stand in Attack Weapon (SiAW) Program Office (PO) is responsible for Air Force acquisition of next generation munitions built to rapidly strike mobile targets within an enemys anti-access/area denial environment. The program's objective is to incorporate advanced technologies such as Universal Armament Interface (UAI) for platform and weapon integration. UAI is a U.S. DOD and NATO initiative to develop standardized functional interfaces in aircraft, weapons and mission planning to support integration of future weapons independent of aircraft OFP cycles. This effort would support the integration efforts necessary to work critical path and technical risk items to Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile-Extended Range (AARGM-ER) and SiAW integration efforts. DESCRIPTION: The Government is seeking support to continue development of the AARGM-ER and SiAW UAI (or Common Flexible Weapons Interface Control Document (CFW ICD)) message sets for F-35A platform, mission planning software and the weapon store.. This includes: Coordinating with platform and weapon contractors to define UAI software interfaces Creating and maintaining AARGM-ER and SiAW Supplements to the UAI Platform/Store (PS) Interface Control Document (ICD) and Compliance Certification Plan (CCP) for UAI PO and Joint Interface Control Working Group (JICWG) approval Reviewing and providing recommended/proposed responses to distributed Interface Change Notices (ICNs) against the UAI PS ICD and/or CCP; UAI Mission Planning (MP) ICD and/or CCP; Launch Acceptability Region (LAR) documents and UAI Interface Control Plan (ICP) Drafting and providing recommended/proposed changes to the UAI PS ICD and/or CCP to support the integration of AARGM-ER and SiAW on F-35A Drafting recommended/proposed UAI Interface Memorandums (IFMs) as part of the UAI Super Joint Interface Control Working Group (SJICWG) process Participating in and supporting the various platform Test & Integration and Mission Systems Meetings Providing support during UAI SJICWG meetings and/or Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) to include preparing and briefing AARGM-ER and SiAW UAI-related topics Assisting in forming cost and schedule positions for AARGM-ER and SiAW UAI development, test, validation/verification, and fielding Providing UAI familiarization to SiAW PO personnel as necessary Attending reoccurring in-person meetings with SiAW PO, various platform and vendors. The security classification level for this effort is SECRET/SAR. INTEREST: Successful responses must demonstrate the ability to provide subject matter expert support, preferably with past experience and familiarity with UAI, the F35A, and relevant Government organizations. If the vendor does not have subject matter experience expertise or needed familiarity, the Government would like a rough schedule on how long it would take to stand up this capability. For questions, contact Steve Jensen, steven.jensen.9@us.af.mil or Robert Shaine Thrower at robert.thrower.2.ctr@us.af.mil. Responses are due by Saturday, 28 October 2023, by 1700 CST.
