Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER The Army Contracting Command (ACC), Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Tobyhanna Division anticipates awarding a hybrid purchase order with a combination of Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) and Time & Materials (T&M) CLINS to Creative Shelving Solutions, 145 Stewart Rd, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18706, for preventative maintenance and unscheduled/emergency repairs to H�nel Storage Systems located at Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD). DISCLAIMER THIS NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) TO BE SUBMITTED. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. The Government intends to acquire this service under the guidelines of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures, and FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Services. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate directly with Creative Shelving Solutions under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). H�nel operates through a network of distributors who are assigned a territory and have near exclusivity in those territories, and Creative Shelving Solutions is authorized to provide the services to TYAD. Compliance with national and international safety standards require that only factory certified technicians be approved to service H�nel products. Certification requires an educational/experience prerequisite, product specific classroom education, hands on education, installation and field training, successful test completion, field evaluations, and periodic recertification.
