This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. issued by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for informational and planning purposes only. This is NOT a solicitation, nor is it an announcement for a forthcoming solicitation. Submission of any information in response to this notification is purely voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred in providing a response. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service, Beltsville, MD is requesting information regarding the capability to provide a service and maintenance contract for a Becton, Dickinson, and Company,� FACSMelody flow cytometry system including PIC Mini 488-20 Blue Laser and PIC Mini 640-45 Red Laser instruments. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES: The FACSMelody flow cytometry system including , PIC Mini 488-20 Blue Laser and PIC Mini 640-45 Red Laser instruments require a service contract that provides one preventative maintenance inspection/kit , unlimited service visits during a one-year period, including a guaranteed 48 hour-response for on-site service in the event of an emergency, unlimited telephone support, laser calibration/servicing, non-consumable parts and software revisions for the instruments. The equipment is located at USDA-ARS-ERRC in Wyndmoor, PA. SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response defines how it can specifically meet the requirements and consider themselves qualified to provide a maintenance service contract for the FACSMelody , PIC Mini 488-20 Blue Laser and PIC Mini 640-45 Red Laser instruments are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by Oct 11th, 2023, by 11:00 AM EST. All responses under this Sources Sought Notice must be emailed to directly to, Claire Anderson: �claire.anderson@usda.gov with the Sources Sought ID# 24SS-1101157 in email the subject line. Please provide: Name of the firm, point of contact, phone number, email address, UEI number, CAGE code, identify business size (large business or a small business), and if applicable, a statement regarding small business status (including small business type(s) /certifications(s) such as SDB, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.) and the corresponding NAICS code. This notice does not commit USDA to contract for any supply or service. Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this sources sought notice. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted.� After reviewing the responses received, a Combined Synopsis solicitation notice may be published on Sam.gov All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
