The purpose of this sources sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 339112. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. The Surgeons are currently using Atec instruments to perform orthopedic spinal surgery. Spinal fusion is a surgical procedure where parts of an arthritic or damaged vertebra are modified or removed and replaced with a metal bracket, bar, rod, and screws are inserted along the spine, this is called a prosthesis or implant. The prosthesis is designed to reproduce the shape and motion of the normal spine. SCOPE: Surgical instruments and trays will be provided to the VAMHCS for use in spinal fusion replacement surgical procedures. The surgical instruments and trays will be compatible with the cases completed at the VAMHCS surgical service department and of exceptional quality. The specific instruments and trays are outlined the attached quote. These are the instruments that meet the VAMHCS surgical service department s need and are compatible with the surgeon training and procedures performed. Procedures are listed below: Cervical Interbody Instruments SPECIFICATIONS: ATEC surgical instrument and trays that integrate with the orthopedic tools that are currently in use at VAMHCS surgical service are required. Surgical instruments and trays must be compatible with the in-use tools and procedures competed by VAMHCS surgeons.
